Adilabad (Telangana), Nov 7 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister and BRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) on Tuesday alleged that the Centre is making efforts to privatise the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL).
Addressing an election campaign meeting titled “Praja Ashirvada Sabha” at Mandamarri in Chennuru Assembly Constituency in Adilabad district, KCR criticised the Congress for ceding 49 percent of SCCL to the Centre by incurring debts.
He also pointed out that Telangana merged with Andhra Pradesh under Congress rule. Prior to Telangana achieving separate statehood, SCCL incurred losses, but under the BRS regime, it turned profitable, registering Rs 2,184 crores in profits. On the occasion of Dasara and Deepavali, SCCL is distributing Rs 1000 crore as a bonus. During the Congress regime, SCCL workers received only 18 percent of the profits, whereas during BRS’s rule, it increased to 32 percent.

He urged them not to vote impulsively just because money has been distributed. He urged people to think wisely before voting.
He stressed that the diamond weapon of democracy is the vote. It should not be cast for money. Voters should think carefully, and come to a decision once after discussion.
KCR reminded the public that Telangana is holding elections for the third time, and the election results have a significant impact on the state’s future for the next five years. He encouraged voters to consider the candidate’s qualifications and the party’s track record when making their decision.
