Mumbai, Oct 20: Farmer leader Pasha Patel, who is known throughout the state as a very old colleague of late Gopinath Munde and former MLC, has been appointed as the chairman of the State Agricultural Value Commission.

A government order pertaining to his appointment was issued on Wednesday.

Patel is known as a scholarly leader in agriculture and an excellent knower of farmers’ issues.

Patel has made significant contributions in the field of agriculture. His project at Ausa is a model of bamboo cultivation, research on bamboo and manufacturing of various products from bamboo.
