Jalgaon, Nov 09 -: Three police personnel, two of them women, were caught red-handed by the Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths in Maharashtra’s Dhule while accepting a bribe of Rs. 2000 from a woman who came to meet her son in the Jalgaon district jail on Wednesday.

According to ACB sources, Subhedar Bhima Ukhadu Bhil, and female police officers Pooja Sopan Sonwane and Hemlata Gaybu Patil, all posted in Jalgaon jail, have been arrested. All three were demanding Rs 2,000 from the woman who had come to meet her son in the district jail and were caught in the net of Dhule ACB department.
The complainant woman, a resident at Pahur village, used to come regularly to meet her son, who was in judicial custody in connection with a case.
From time to time all three cops were taking money from the complainant when she came to meet her son, On Tuesday, however, the complainant woman came to the jail to meet her son, but all three police demanded a bribe of Rs. 2000 from the complainant to meet her son.
The complainant woman could not give Rs. 2000 to all three policemen. Enraged, she went to the ACB office and filed a complaint against three police officers.
The ACB officer laid a trap near the jail and caught red-handed a woman cop Hemlata Patil while she was accepting a bribe of 2000 from the complainant.
