Hyderabad, Dec 11 – Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy launched the implementation of two major promises out of ‘Six Gurantees”, within two days of assuming the office, here on Saturday.
One of the two schemes, the Cheyutha scheme, has been launched to provide free medical and healthcare up to Rs 10 lakh under Rajiv Arogyasri.
All the poorer sections in Telangana State will be provided free corporate medical treatment in the empaneled hospitals.
The Cheyutha scheme was officially launched by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the State Legislative Assembly on Saturday.
Cheyutha Cheyutha is the first implementation of the Six Guarantees. Under this scheme, each family gets Rs. 10 lakh financial coverage for medical treatment and will benefit 90.10 lakh families below the poverty line.
1672 different medical packages are made available under the scheme, and 21 specialty services are also made available for patients with physical ailments.
The scheme is being implemented under the Aarogyasri Health Care Trust, and the main objective of the scheme is to provide quality medical services to families below the poverty line so that they can be treated without financial hardship.
