Pilots at Akasa Air Raise Concerns Over Management Issues

A group of pilots from Akasa Air, an airline that started operations two years ago, has raised concerns about the company’s management. They have written to the Civil Aviation Minister, accusing the airline of unfair practices in hiring, scheduling, and overall operations.

The pilots claim that the airline is not following proper rules during the hiring process and that the management is making decisions without consistency or fairness. They also allege that some employees are ignoring attendance policies, which is affecting the airline’s performance. Additionally, the pilots say there are frequent errors in their work schedules, impacting their work-life balance and well-being.

The group has called for an audit of the company’s finances to ensure transparency.

This is not the first time Akasa Air has faced such allegations. Recently, some pilots reported issues with the company’s training programs to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). While the airline denied the claims, the DGCA conducted an unannounced audit last year and imposed a fine after finding operational errors.
