New Delhi World Book Fair 2025: A Grand Start with Enthusiastic Readers!
The New Delhi World Book Fair 2025 began with a huge crowd and great excitement on Saturday, February 1. Book lovers eagerly gathered at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, forming long lines that even reached the nearby metro station!

Though the gates opened two hours late, it didn’t affect the enthusiasm of visitors, who were excited to explore and buy books at amazing discounts. The four exhibition halls quickly filled with eager readers, cheering as they entered.
Visitors Share Their Excitement
Many people had arrived early to get in first. One visitor shared,
“We reached at 10:45 am, hoping to be the first in line. Even though we had to wait for two hours, it was worth it once we got inside and saw all the books!”

This year’s theme, “We the People of India,” attracted many young readers. A book lover said,
“Our family visits the fair every year. We love discovering new books, especially regional literature in translation!”
Some visitors attended for professional reasons. A teacher from Delhi mentioned,
“I came on the first day to pick books for our school library. Even though I had to wait in line, I didn’t want to miss out on valuable titles for our students.”

Popular Books & Special Discounts
Many visitors were drawn to books on Maha Kumbh and Indian traditions, especially parents looking for educational materials for their children. Publishers are offering great discounts, from 10% to 65%, on selected books.
