Mumbai Traffic Police Issues Advisory for Tata Mumbai Marathon 2025 with Route Closures and Alternatives

Mumbai: Ahead of the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2025, scheduled for Sunday, January 19, from 3:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the Mumbai Traffic Police has issued a detailed advisory. The marathon will cause the closure of 63 roads, with alternative routes provided to help ease travel for commuters.

The highly anticipated marathon will feature thousands of participants, including elite athletes, senior citizens, and people with disabilities, competing in seven different categories. This will lead to major traffic restrictions along the marathon’s path.

Event Categories and Routes:

  • Full Marathon (Amateur): CSMT Dr. D N Road to OCS Junction (42.195 km)
  • Full Marathon (Elite): CSMT Dr. D N Road to CSMT Junction (42.195 km)
  • Half Marathon & Police Cup: Mahim Reti Bunder to OCS Junction
  • 10 KM Run: CSMT to OCS Junction
  • Senior Citizen Run: CSMT to OCS Junction (4.2 km)
  • Champions with Disability Run: CSMT to OCS Junction (1.3 km)
  • Dream Run: CSMT to Metro Junction (5.9 km)

Traffic Arrangements and Alternative Routes:

To ensure the safety of participants, all roads along the marathon’s route will be closed to vehicles. The Traffic Police have outlined alternative routes to help ease the commute for the public. Authorities have asked commuters to cooperate with these changes and plan their travel accordingly to avoid delays.
