Jaunpur (UP), Nov 30 – Three people were killed and one more was injured after being mowed down by a car in the Jafrabad area of Jaunpur district in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, police sources said.
Police sources said that the incident took place around 9:30 am when the car coming from Kerakat mowed down three people sitting on the roadside before hitting a motorcyclist. “Sewalal (65), Jawahar Lal Pal (18), Shahnawaz (25), and Sanjay Yadav (25) were injured in the incident,” they said.
Police sources said that Sewalal, Shahnawaz, and Sanjay Yadav died on the spot, and Jawahar Lal was admitted to the hospital, where his condition was stated to be serious. “Agitated by the incident, the local residents pelted stones on the car, but its driver was rescued by some youths,” they said.
