MLC Milind Narvekar Extends Financial Aid to Farmer’s Daughter Affected by Unseasonal Rains
Beed, May 28:
MLC Milind Narvekar of the Uddhav Sena has extended financial assistance of ₹1 lakh to support the education of a farmer’s daughter from Shindewadi village in Ashti taluka, Beed district, after unseasonal rainfall caused severe crop damage.
The beneficiary, Mahesh Darekar, had invested ₹90,000 to cultivate onions on his three-acre farmland. He had planned to use the earnings from the onion harvest to pay for his daughter Pragati’s school fees and purchase books and stationery. However, unexpected rains damaged the harvested onions kept aside for sale, leading to major financial losses.
Following the setback, Pragati, a first-grade student, expressed her distress, saying her father could no longer afford even her snacks and study materials. Her emotional story quickly gained attention.
Upon learning about the family’s situation, MLC Milind Narvekar personally reached out and offered immediate financial aid of ₹1 lakh to ensure Pragati’s education continues without interruption.
