Kolhapur, Dec 4 – Six hundred employees of Kolhapur Municipal Transport (KMT), run by Kolhapur
Municipal Corporation (KMC), who were on indefinite strike from December one, called it off late on Sunday following positive discussions between KMT authorities and Employees Union.


In the meeting held this evening with union office-bearers, KMT and KMC authorities assured that they would send a memorandum of their demands to the state government for approval.


KMT Union’s demands include to fill total 161 vacancies of conductors and drivers and to extend benefit of Seventh Pay Commission to them.
