Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Dec 4 – Reacting over the outcome of four state assembly polls, AIMIM MP from city, Imtiaz Jaleel, on Sunday took a dig at BJP, saying that it has come to power in Rajasthan by tempting voters with a promise to provide domestic gas cylinder for Rs 450 and demanded to know why in Maharashtra, where the BJP-led grand alliance is in power, gas cylinder was available for Rs 900.
He said, “A single ruling party in power is dangerous for democracy. Competition has started in political parties to show temptations in their manifesto. India Aghadi will now have to change its strategy in the Lok Sabha elections.”
On BRS party’s defeat in Telangana, he said that even though BRS implemented public welfare schemes in Telangana, the reason for its defeat has to be studied.
The Congress party had spent lots of money in Telangana, the AIMIM MP charged.
AIMIM had contested the election with BRS.
Jaleel expressed his best wishes to BJP over its victory in three states — Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh and the Congress in Telangana.
AIMIM candidates have won in eight out of nine seats in the Telangana Assembly elections, he added and wished them well and thanked the voters for voting for the party.
