Pune, Oct 31: The Maratha Reservation Protest has now reached Pune as protesters have blocked the road near Navale Bridge on the Pune-Bangalore National Highway. Tires have been set on fire by Maratha protesters. Due to this, the traffic near the new bridge has been disrupted. Many Maratha activists are seen taking to the streets.

As per information, the protest has disrupted the traffic on both sides. Protesters also reportedly burnt tires on the road and set some vehicles on fire. This has caused a huge traffic jam.

The movement for the Maratha reservation is going on in the state. Leaders have also been banned from villages. On Monday, protesters set fire and threw stones at many places. The houses of some MLAs were also burnt. Protests are also going on in many places in Pune. In Pimpri Chinchwad, some protesters had protested on the old Mumbai Pune route by burning tires on Monday night. On October 31, some protestors shaved their heads protesting against the government.

On Tuesday, some protestors took to the streets directly to demand reservation and block the road by burning tires on Navale Bridge in Pune. The protesters have blocked the traffic from Satara to Mumbai and Satara. Due to this, there has been a huge traffic jam on this road.
