Vijayawada, Oct 9: Andhra Pradesh High Court here on Monday dismissed petitions of Telugu Desam Party Chief and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu who sought anticipatory bail in Amaravati Inner Ring Road (IRR) alignment, FiberNet scam cases and a case related to violence at Angallu village.
The Anti Corruption Bureau registered cases against Chandrababu Naidu on the irregularities in the IRR alignment and FiberNet scam.
The police also registered a case against the former AP CM on the violence incident which took place at Angallu village in Chittoor district during his programme.
YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy lodged a complaint with the ACB on the irregularities in changing alignment of IRR.
The ACB registered case on May 9, 2022 and Naidu was figured as an accused in the case.
The TDP Chief went to Chittoor district to visit an irrigation project to see its poor maintenance on August 4, 2023. Violence incidents took place during his visit and the Mudivedu police registered cases against 179 TDP leaders including the former CM.
On the anticipatory bail, Supreme Court lawyer Sidharth Luthra presented arguments on behalf of Naidu and Advocate General Sriram presented arguments on behalf of the ACB in the court.
It may be mentioned here that Chandrababu Naidu was arrested in the alleged Rs 317 crore Skill Development scam case and he has been lodged in the Rajahmundry Central prison since September 9 after ACB Court here sent him to Judicial remand.
