1. Easier Calling on Desktop
In the WhatsApp desktop app, the calls tab now provides options to simplify making calls. You can create call links, dial numbers, or find all the necessary call details in one place.
2. Fun Video Call Effects
WhatsApp has added more backgrounds and filters to make video calls exciting. There are over 10 effects, like adding puppy ears, a karaoke microphone, or underwater visuals.
Filters include options like:
- Black & White, Cool, Warm, Dreamy, Vintage TV, and Fisheye
Backgrounds include: - Cafe, Beach, Office, Sunset, Forest, or just a Blur effect.
3. Better Video Quality
Video calls now come with improved HD visuals, offering clearer pictures for both one-on-one and group calls, whether on desktop or mobile.
4. Call Selective Group Members
A new feature lets you call specific people from a group chat instead of the whole group. This is useful for keeping plans private, like organizing a surprise party or gift, as those not invited won’t be notified.
