Virat Kohli is set to move to London with his wife, Anushka Sharma, and their children, Vamika and Akaay, as confirmed by his former coach, Rajkumar Sharma. Sharma, who trained Kohli during his early years, revealed that Kohli and his family will soon relocate to the UK.
“Yes, Virat plans to move to London with his children and wife, Anushka Sharma. He will be leaving India soon. At the moment, Kohli is spending most of his time with his family, apart from his cricket commitments,” said Sharma.
Kohli and his family have spent a lot of time in London this year. After his son was born, Kohli returned to London following India’s T20 World Cup win in June. He came back to India for the ODI series against Sri Lanka in July but soon returned to the UK and stayed there until August. He came back just in time for the home season.
While Sharma didn’t provide many details, he hinted that Kohli plans to settle in the UK after his cricket career ends.
There’s been speculation about Kohli’s future in cricket, especially with veteran players like Ravichandran Ashwin retiring. Many are wondering if Kohli will continue playing until the 2027 ODI World Cup. Sharma, however, is confident that Kohli will play for at least five more years and will likely participate in the next World Cup in South Africa.
“Virat is playing the best cricket of his career. He scored a century in the first Test against Australia, and I believe he will score more centuries in the upcoming matches. His form isn’t a concern. He knows how to perform under pressure and help his team win,” added Sharma.
Originally from Delhi, Kohli moved to Mumbai a few years ago. He married Anushka Sharma in December 2017 in Italy.
