Hyderabad, Nov 23: Congress MP and Huzurnagar candidate Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy mocked Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s claim of BRS winning the next elections. “Congress is set to form the next government in Telangana by securing over 80 seats. There is no doubt about it,” he asserted.
During an informal conversation with media persons, while campaigning in the Huzurnagar constituency on Wednesday, Uttam Kumar Reddy stated that the Congress party would secure the majority of seats in nine out of 10 undivided districts of Telangana, with a complete sweep in Nalgonda district.
He accused CM KCR of attempting to confuse voters by making false claims about BRS victory. According to him, the ground-level situation for BRS has become so dire that most of its candidates are unable to campaign in many villages.
Uttam Kumar Reddy accused BRS of deceiving the common people in two elections and emphasised that this time, people are not willing to be fooled. He argued that either CM KCR has failed to sense the people’s pulse or is deliberately trying to deny the reality of BRS facing a significant electoral setback.
According to him, BRS’s tactics of marketing welfare schemes have miserably failed. He criticised the BRS government for giving financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to a few hundred Dalits, creating a false impression that all 17 lakh Dalit families received the money.
Similarly, by distributing a few hundred 2BHK units, BRS Govt gave the impression of resolving the entire housing problem in Telangana. Uttam Kumar Reddy claimed that communities such as Dalit, Girijan, BC, and minority have realised they are being deceived by the BRS government, leading to mass voting in favor of Congress to oust BRS from power.
Uttam Kumar Reddy cautioned the public against bogus surveys and false claims regarding BRS victory, asserting that Congress will win the Assembly elections with a comfortable majority to form the next government.
He urged voters not to be swayed by money or other gifts offered by BRS leaders and emphasized that compromising at this stage could adversely affect the future of their children. He reiterated the claim that the Congress party would secure victory in the Huzurnagar and Kodad seats with a significant majority.
