New Delhi, Dec 11 – Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena and Home Minister of Delhi Kailash Gahlot on Saturday inaugurated the newly constructed Forensic Science Laboratory(FSL) building in Rohini.
The event marked a pivotal moment for FSL, as it seeks to enhance its capabilities in examining diverse cases and various subject specialties encountered in day-to-day operations, Office of Home Minister of Delhi government said in a communique.
Addressing the gathering, Gahlot emphasized the laboratory’s vision for the future, said, “The Forensic Sciences Laboratory in Delhi envisions a future in which the lab continues to build and develop an internationally recognized institution to deliver expeditious, quality, and reliable forensic services to the police and other agencies to serve and strengthen the criminal justice system.”
The newly completed Annexe Building, spanning seven floors and covering an area of approximately 10,000 square meters, is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities where modern facility like Modern Narcotic Drug (NDPS) Lab, Advanced DNA Tests (DNA) Lab, Advanced Cyber (Cyber Forensic) Lab, Highly Advanced Toxicology Lab and Separate Floor for Trainees from National and International Universities, National Defense Officials, and Laboratory Personnel, the communique said.
