A passenger in India recently voiced frustration over the poor condition of Uber cabs, sharing his experience on social media platform X. Rohit Arora, the user, posted a photo of a dusty, poorly maintained vehicle he booked through Uber, describing it as looking like it came straight out of a “junkyard.”
In his post, Arora wrote, “Uber has no standard in India. It looks like the car came from the junkyard.” He expressed disappointment with the lack of cleanliness and hygiene in the vehicle, emphasizing that maintaining basic standards doesn’t require a lot of money, just a little effort.

Arora explained that while the problem may be widespread in India, Uber has a responsibility to inspect its vehicles and ensure they meet acceptable standards. He clarified he wasn’t expecting luxury, just a clean and hygienic ride.
Although Arora owns a car, he often uses Uber Priority or Premiere services for convenience and to save time.
Responding to his concerns, Uber replied, “We would like to review this as soon as possible, Rohit. Please share your registered contact number and email address via direct message, along with the exact date and time of the trip, and we will get back to you promptly.”
