Bareilly (UP), Nov 16: Two persons were killed and three others were injured when a tractor-trolley was hit by an unidentified vehicle in Baheri area of Bareilly district here in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, police sources said here.
Police sources said that Joginder (25), Sanjiv (19), Shivam, Bhupendra and tractor driver Krishna Pal worked at a brick kiln. “In the wee hours on Wednesday while they were going to Baheri after loading bricks the tractor trolley was hit by an unidentified vehicle,” they said.
Police sources said that while Joginder and Sajiv died on the spot, three others sustained serious injuries. “The injured have been admitted to the hospital,” they said.
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Mukesh Chandra Mishra said that efforts were being made to trace the vehicle involved in the accident with the help of CCTV footage.
