Chikkaballapur, Oct 26: In an horrific accident, 13 people died after an SUV, in which they were travelling, rammed into a stationery tanker here on Thursday morning, police said.
The vehicle was travelling from Anantapur to Bengaluru, and the deceased including the driver of the SUV hailed from Anantapur district, police said.
The police are investigating the case, and trying to find out the cause of the mishap, they said.
As many as 12 people died on the spot and another died in the hospital due to fatal injuries, Chikkaballapur Superintendent of Police DL Nagesh said.
