Agra (UP), Nov 11 – In a heartbreaking incident, two sisters, Ekta (37) and Shikha (34), associated with the Brahma Kumaris ashram in Jagner, Agra, took their own lives. The sisters accused certain ashram staff members of engaging in immoral activities, leaving behind detailed suicide notes.

The sisters had been part of the Brahma Kumaris community since 2005, and for the past four years, they had been living at the Brahma Kumaris center on Basai road in Jagner. Late on Friday night, Ekta and Shikha tragically ended their lives inside a room at the ashram.

In the suicide notes, the sisters named specific individuals, including Neeraj Singhal, his father Tarachand of Dholpur, and a woman in the Gwalior center, holding them responsible for their extreme step. The suicide notes were reportedly circulated on the ashram’s WhatsApp group before the tragic incident.

Ekta, in her note, urged Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to ensure that those responsible for their deaths face punishment similar to Asaram Bapu. The suicide notes and a complaint from the family have led to the initiation of a case by the police.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sonam Kumar stated that serious allegations have been made against certain ashram employees, and further action is being taken based on the suicide notes and the family’s complaint.
