Bhopal, Oct 21 – Amidst reports of discord between Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and the Congress regarding Assembly-level tie-ups within the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A), Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate expressed confidence on Friday, stating that discussions were ongoing and a resolution would be reached.

Speaking to the press in the election-bound capital of Madhya Pradesh, Shrinate assured, ‘I.N.D.I.A. remains united. Mr. Yadav may be a bit upset, but such disagreements are not uncommon within alliances.’

Media sources reported that Akhilesh Yadav voiced his discontent on Thursday in Sitapur, stating, ‘The Congress is deceptive for not forming an alliance with the SP for the Vidhan Sabha polls. If I had known their intentions earlier, my party would not have engaged in talks.’

Meanwhile, Kamal Nath, the President of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee and former Chief Minister, sidestepped the issue.”
