Hyderabad, Oct 23: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao(CM KCR) greeted Telangana people on the occasion of Dasara festival on Monday.
In a message CM KCR said that Dasara holds a special and significant place in Telangana’s cultural lifestyle.
The Chief Minister said that people across the country celebrate Dasara in the name of Vijaya Dasami which is a symbol of victory.
The CM said that gathering of all family members to celebrate Dasara festival at one place exhibited the unity of all sections of people.
The Chief Minister said that sighting Pala Pitta ( Indian Roller bird), offering shami puja, customary worship to Jammi tree, exchange of Jammi leaves to relatives in Alai Balai and seeking the blessings of elders are distinctive in the celebration of Dasara in Telangana state.
The Chief Minister made it clear that the government will pursue the spirit of Vijaya Dasami and strive to place on top position the Telangana State which has been achieved through a protracted struggle.
The CM prayed to Goddess Durga to bless all the people, grant happiness and the state achieve triumphs.
