Hyderabad, October 9 – The Election Commission of India (ECI) revealed that the Assembly election in Telangana is set to take place on November 30, with the counting of votes scheduled for December 3. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar shared the key dates during a press conference in New Delhi.
Key Election Dates:
- Gazette Notification: November 3
- Last Date for Filing Nominations: November 10
- Scrutiny of Nominations: November 13
- Withdrawal of Candidatures: November 15
- Completion of Election Process: December 5
The ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has already announced candidates for 115 out of the 119 assembly constituencies, while opposition parties, BJP and Congress, are yet to announce their candidates for the upcoming election.”
