Phagwara, Nov 17: Punjab police have arrested a private school Managing Director (MD) for allegedly raping a woman after blackmailing her.The Investigating Officer (IO) Baljit Kaur of Bilga police station said on Thursday that the accused has been identified as Tarsem Singh of Mudhadda village. He is the MD of a private school situated at Partab Pura village.The victim complained to the police that the accused forcibly established physical relations by promising her a promotion and repeatedly raped her for four years. He even took her to foreign countries by threatening to make viral on social media her objectionable video clicked secretly.The IO said a case has been registered against the accused.In another incident, police have booked the father-in-law of a woman on the charge of outraging her modesty.Investigating Officer (IO) Pardeep Kumar of Shahkot police station said the accused has been identified as Sukhdev Singh of Bahmannia Khas village.
Daljit Singh of Kokal Pur village complained to the police that the accused stood uncovered in front of his daughter-in-law on November 13 night and attacked him with a knife.
The IO said a case has been registered against the accused.
No arrests have been made, and raids are being conducted to nab the accused, who is absconding.
