Kolhapur, Oct 30: Sakal Maratha Samaj (SMS) on Sunday took a chain hunger strike at historic Dasara Chowk this afternoon to express their support to ongoing agitation of Manoj Jarange-Patil’s indefinite hunger strike for the demand of reservation for Maratha community peoples.
District office bearers including district SMS coordinator Vasant Mulik and workers from all parts of the district, took a chain hunger strike to express their support to Jarange-Patil’s agitation, who is on indefinite hunger strike for the Maratha reservation issue.
While addressing a gathering, Mr Mulik said that a not entry digital board for the ministers and other leaders would erect at the main entry sport of total 1238 villages and 10 bug cuties in the district. He also appealed to Maratha youth not to take extreme steps of committing suicides for the reservation demand and seniors should take awakening compaign in youth to stop suicide cases.
Baba Indulkar, Vijay Devne, Deelip Desai, Ravikiran Ingavale,Anil Ghatge, Chandrakant Patil, Amar Nimbalkar and others participated in chain hunger strike.
