Registration Opens for New Sainik Schools Under Partnership Model
New Delhi, May 16, 2025:
The Ministry of Defence has launched an online portal (https://sainikschoolsociety.in) for schools interested in joining the government’s initiative to set up 100 new Sainik Schools across the country. Registrations are open from May 15 to June 14, 2025.
This initiative invites State Governments, NGOs, trusts, and private schools to become part of this national effort. The goal is to provide high-quality education aligned with the National Education Policy, and to prepare students for better career opportunities, including joining the Armed Forces.
So far, the Ministry has already approved 86 schools across various sectors to operate as new Sainik Schools.
These new schools will remain affiliated with their existing education boards but will also operate under the Sainik Schools Society, following specific rules set for this partnership model. Along with the standard curriculum, they will offer additional “Academic-Plus” training, similar to the traditional Sainik School model.
Interested institutions are encouraged to visit the portal and register to become part of this initiative that aims to contribute to nation-building through quality education and disciplined development.
