Chandigarh, Oct 4: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann conveyed deep condolences on Wednesday over the tragic martyrdom of Jawan Parminder Singh from Chaajli (Sangrur) while on duty in Kargil. The jawan lost his life in an accident during a train journey in Kargil.
Expressing profound grief, Mann described the loss as “irreparable” for the nation and particularly devastating for the bereaved family. He extended heartfelt condolences to the family of Parminder Singh, acknowledging his sacrifice in the line of duty.
To support the distressed family, the Chief Minister announced that monetary assistance would be provided in accordance with the policies of the state government. This gesture is a reflection of the government’s commitment to aiding and honoring the families of those who sacrifice their lives for the security and well-being of the nation.
