Chandigarh, Oct 8: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has thrown down the gauntlet, challenging leaders from various opposition parties to engage in a live debate on issues crucial to the state. In a Twitter announcement, Mann extended invitations to political figures such as state BJP President Sunil Jakhar, SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal, Punjab Congress President Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Partap Singh Bajwa.

Mann set a deadline for preparations until October 31 and urged participants to be ready on November 1, coinciding with “Punjab Diwas Day.” The CM declared his intent to speak without prepared papers and encouraged opposition leaders to bring their own.

It remains to be seen whether the challenge will be accepted, setting the stage for a potentially impactful and insightful exchange on the challenges facing Punjab.
