New Delhi, Nov 01 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked the National Unity Day by launching the ‘Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat)’ platform, aimed at benefiting youth in the age group of 15-29 years. The initiative is in line with the definition of ‘Youth’ in the National Youth Policy, targeting individuals in the age group of 10-19 years.
The launch took place during the program marking the conclusion of the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign’s Amrit Kalash Yatra at Kartavya Path in New Delhi. The campaign is a tribute to the brave individuals who have made the supreme sacrifice for the country.
Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the role of MY Bharat in nation-building in the 21st century, bringing the youth together on one platform for greater participation in the country’s development. He commended the success of the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh Abhiyan,’ showcasing the collective strength of Indian youth.
The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of the Amrit Vatika and Amrit Mahotsav Memorial, developed from soil collected from every part of the country, marking the closing ceremony of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Modi highlighted the significance of India’s independence and urged citizens to protect it with unity. He stressed the need to fulfill the resolve to make India a developed country by 2047 and presented the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Awards to the top-performing states, union territories, ministries, or departments.
Union Ministers Amit Shah, Anurag Singh Thakur, and G Kishan Reddy were present at the occasion.
