Durg (Chhattisgarh), Nov 4 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the extension of the free ration scheme for 80 crore impoverished citizens across India for an additional five years during a public meeting in the election-bound Chhattisgarh. The Prime Minister cautioned against political parties playing divisive games, specifically targeting the Congress.
Accusing the Congress of deceiving the poor, PM Modi criticized the party’s hollow promises of poverty eradication, claiming it only served a single family and tycoons. He emphasized that the Congress exploited the underprivileged emotionally, leading to a loss of self-confidence among the poor.
In the context of Chhattisgarh, PM Modi denounced the Congress manifesto as a bundle of lies and highlighted various scams, including a Public Service Commission scam and a massive cash hoard unearthed in Raipur. He alleged a liquor scam, causing losses in various sectors, and criticized the Congress for targeting him based on his OBC background.
PM Modi also addressed the law and order situation in Chhattisgarh, stating that it is in shambles, and criticized the closure of over 100 Janaushadhi kendras by the state government.
