PUNE: Due to the significant number of dog enthusiasts residing in the Pimple Saudagar Society area, the first dog spot in the city of Pimpri Chinchwad was established in Pimple Saudagar on March 4, 2022, under the guidance of Ex-corporator Nirmala Kute.
As per the information provided, dog spot lacks a proper enclosure, resulting in dogs venturing onto the road and causing accidents. In light of this issue, Nirmala Kute engaged in a comprehensive discussion with Bharatiya Janata Party City President Shankar Jagtap.
She requested that the Dog Spot be fully developed under the supervision of the Smart City Department.
The following amenities were demanded for the Dog Spot:
1) Administrative room
2) Pet store
3) Pet café
4) Stage area for dog shows and functions
5) Sand pit area for dogs to play
6) Gravel play plaza
7) Selfie point
8) Sitting area
9) Dog sculpture
10) Feeding spot
11) Garbage spot
After the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation accepted all of these demands, the implementation of the aforementioned amenities will commence in the coming days
