Modi, Bhagwat to attend consecration of Ram Lala Champat Rai

Ayodhya, October 27: General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust Champat Rai on Thursday said that the consecration of Ram Lala, seated at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, will be held on January 22 next year which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat.

While addressing a press conference at Vishwa Hindu Parishad headquarters at Karsevakpuram, Rai said that the date of Ramlala’s Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi has been fixed as January 22. “PM Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will attend the event. The PM has accepted the invitation given by the trust, therefore January 22 has been fixed as the date for Ramlala’s Pran Pratistha Mahotsav,” he said.

He said that Shri Ram Lalla will be seated in his divine temple on the day. He said that Bhagwat was personally invited in the month of September.

The General Secretary said that the members of the trust gave a formal invitation to the PM to visit Ayodhya for Pran Pratistha Mahotsav on which he gave his approval. He said that 4,000 saints from 140 traditions of the country will participate in the Pran Pratistha Mahotsav.

He said that apart from the saint community, a list of 2,500 people, including scientists, industrialists, poets, writers, former judges, senior advocates, family members of posthumous Paramvir Chakra winners in the Army, families of those who sacrificed their lives in Ram temple, has been prepared who will attend the consecration ceremony.

Rai said that Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present in the consecration ceremony. He said that the consecration ceremony will be held by Laxmikant Dixit, a scholar from Varanasi.

He said that the puja will start at 12 noon and will continue for three hours. “The Muhurta for consecration ceremony has been determined by Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid who is from Tamil Nadu and lives in Varanasi,” he said.
