Chicago, Oct 30 — A Halloween party in the North Lawndale district of Chicago turned tragic as an unidentified man opened fire, injuring at least 15 people. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, with nearly 100 people in attendance.

According to a statement from the local police department, officers responded to a shots-fired call and witnessed an unknown male firing into the location where the gathering was taking place. The suspect fled the scene but was swiftly apprehended by responding officers a short distance away.

The injured victims were promptly transported to the hospital, with two individuals, a 26-year-old female and a 48-year-old male, reported to be in critical condition. The police have released the identities of those wounded, along with their ages and the severity of their injuries.
