Chhatrapati Sambhaijnagar, Oct 25: Vijyadashmi, symbol of victory of good over evil also considered as one of the three and half muhurats being celebrated in the eight districts of the region with Hindu community across Marathwada region with traditional fervor.
Reports reaching from all the district headquarters here stated that, since morning people are seen purchasing marigold flowers for making garlands to put in front of their respective entrance doors and vehicles and ’gold leaf’ to distribute it to each other later by this evening after meeting to each other and exchanging their wishes.

The nine-day-long Navratri festival which began on October 15 with ‘Ghatsthapna’ (installation of the idol of Goddess) at two ‘Shaktipeets’ in Marathwada region, including Mahur’s ‘Renuka Mata’ in Nanded district and ‘Maa Tuljabhavai’ at Tuljapur in Duarashiv district which are the two ‘Shaktipeets’ out of 52 in the country concluding today in view of Dashmi.
Procession of immersion of installed devi idols has been started by this afternoon on this occasion.
About 15 to 20 lakhs each devotees from state and neighbouring states visited the these temple for ‘Darshan’ of Goddess Renuka and Tulja Bhavai during the nine-day long festival, sources said.
In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar procession of ‘Balaji Palkhi’ being taken out in premises of the Karnapura Tulja Bhavani temple.
Later, this evening effigies of Ravana, Indrajit and Kumbakarna effigies will burnt at different places including Ramlila ground at N- 7 cidco and Waluj locality and several in region.
