Mumbai / Gondia, Nov 7: Maharashtra NCP (Ajit Pawar group) president Sunil Tatkare defended the move of Ajit Pawar to join BJP-led government in the state, saying that it has been justified by people based on the results of the Gram Panchayat elections declared on Monday.
Addressing the party workers meet held at Gondia, he said that they have been called communalists for going with BJP but made it clear that they were not one when they supported BJP.
He further said that this gathering is being held on the home turf of their leader MP Praful Patel, who promoted development in Vidarbha.
He appealed party workers to stand behind Patel.
“The development of our party is an issue and we have to walk on the path of development,” Tatkare asserted.
On this occasion, youth regional president Suraj Chavan announced that he will soon organise a job fair for the youth of the district.
