Beed, Oct 17: Maharashtra and District Guardian Minister Dhananjay Munde appealed to the public on Monday to collaborate with the administration in eradicating the backwardness of the district and achieving the goal of making Beed suicide-free. During a meeting of the District Planning Committee (DPC), he emphasized the importance of reaching out to every individual to ensure the district’s progress.
Munde urged all systems to work in coordination to effectively implement various government schemes and extend their benefits to every citizen in rural areas. Considering the short duration of this year’s sugarcane cutting season, he directed the organization of meetings between returning sugarcane workers, gram sevaks, and others to plan for their employment under MNREGA in the upcoming period.
Highlighting Beed’s selection for bamboo cultivation, Munde stressed the need for concerted efforts to change the district’s image from being backward and prone to suicides. He urged the community to participate actively in creating a new identity for the developing Beed and ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach their intended beneficiaries.”
