Starting April 1, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has made FASTag mandatory at all its toll plazas. Vehicle owners without a FASTag will have to pay double the toll fee, as cash payments and other digital methods like smart cards and QR codes are no longer accepted.

Toll Plazas Where FASTag Is Required

  • Bandra-Worli Sea Link
  • Mumbai-Pune Expressway & Old Mumbai-Pune Highway
  • Five Toll Plazas at Mumbai Entry Points
  • 23 Toll Plazas on Samruddhi Expressway
  • Nagpur Integrated Road Development Project (5 Toll Plazas)
  • Solapur Integrated Road Development Project (4 Toll Plazas)
  • Sambhajinagar Integrated Road Development Project (3 Toll Plazas)
  • Katol Bypass
  • Chimur-Warora-Wani Road

No More Hybrid Lanes

Previously, MSRDC toll plazas had hybrid lanes, allowing different payment methods. Now, all lanes have been converted to dedicated FASTag lanes, meaning every vehicle must have a FASTag sticker to pass through.

Important Guidelines for Drivers

  • MSRDC urges vehicle owners to install FASTag as soon as possible to avoid extra charges.
  • The rule applies to all nine road projects under MSRDC, covering major highways and expressways in Maharashtra.
  • Motorists should also ensure their FASTag is valid and has a sufficient balance before traveling.

Drivers are advised to make sure their FASTag is working and has enough balance to avoid delays or extra toll charges.
