Mumbai, Oct 18: While trying to strengthen bilateral relations between India and ASEAN countries, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said on Tuesday that there is a conducive environment for industrial investment in Maharashtra.
The Chief Minister made this comment when a delegation of Ambassadors of ASEAN countries met him at his official ‘Varsha’ bungalow here.
The delegation included the High Commissioners of Brunei and Singapore along with ambassadors of Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Shinde said that Maharashtra is growth engine of the country and Mumbai is the financial capital of the country.
He further said that Maharashtra is a leader in India in the field of infrastructure facilities, like MTHL, Coastal Road, Metro network, and the state has a conducive environment for industrial expansion.
Maharashtra has world-class infrastructure for industrial expansion and clusters of industries are being
developed, he said.
The Chief Minister further said that the state government has adopted a pro-industrial policy and a policy of granting permits to industries in a dynamic manner.
The Economic Development Council of the state has set a target of making economy of the state one trillion dollars by 2028, he added.
