Hyderabad, Oct 23: Union Minister and Telangana BJP President, Kishan Reddy, has confirmed that the second list of candidates for the upcoming elections will be unveiled after the Dasara festival.
Addressing reporters at the state party headquarters on Sunday, Kishan Reddy revealed that the first list, consisting of 52 candidates, included prominent figures such as farmer MLAs, MPs, municipal chairman, and others. He stated, “The second list will be released following the conclusion of the Dasara festival.”
Kishan Reddy went on to highlight the significant campaign efforts by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has already addressed five public meetings, and Home Minister Amit Shah, who has conducted three meetings in the region. The Home Minister is scheduled for another visit on October 27th, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also expected to campaign for the upcoming elections. Kishan Reddy emphasized that the campaign will be intensified post-Dasara.
Regarding the opposition to the BRS (Bharatiya Rashtravadi Samanwaya Samiti) among the public, Kishan Reddy expressed confidence in transforming that sentiment towards the BJP. He further mentioned that both Congress and the BRS had governed the state, characterized by corruption and family rule. Kishan Reddy criticized certain officials for allegedly filing incorrect cases against opposition party activists, stressing that such actions would not be tolerated, and he encouraged officials to follow the law.
Kishan Reddy also welcomed the decision to lift the suspension of party MLA Raja Singh.
He disclosed that discussions have taken place with Janasena President Pavan Kalyan, indicating that the party is currently evaluating its final decision.
