Srinagar, Nov 11: The Jammu and Kashmir Police’s State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Friday carried out searches at 10 locations in several districts of the valley in a terror funding case, the anti- terror agency said.
This was the second round of raids in the case carried out in the last three days. On Wednesday SIA raided 22 locations in the Union Territory and Delhi in the case.
On Friday, the searches were conducted by SIA, Kashmir at 10 locations in the districts of Srinagar, Pulwama and Anantnag.
“In continuation to searches conducted on November 8, the SIA Kashmir conducted searches at two locations in Srinagar, seven in Pulwama and one in Anantnag.”
“The special teams of SIA recovered incriminating material in the form of electronic gadgets like mobile devices, laptops. SIM cards and documents like, passports, cheques, passbooks, credit/debit cards etc.”
The searches were conducted in the wee hours as part of ongoing investigation in case FIR No. 08/2023 of Police Station SIA Kashmir.
The case pertains to a terror funding in which money amounting to Rs 85 crores has been raised and laundered through covert channels which is suspected to be used in funding terrorism and secessionism in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir.
SIA had already conducted extensive searches two days ago at New Delhi and various districts of Kashmir valley.
State Investigation Agency once again affirmed its resolve in dismantling the terror ecosystem from Jammu & Kashmir.
