Damascus, Oct 16 : In a recent escalation, an Israeli missile attack struck the Aleppo International Airport in northern Syria on Saturday night, marking the second assault on the airport within a span of three days, as reported by Syrian state TV.

The initial strike occurred on Thursday, affecting both the international airports of the capital Damascus and Aleppo. The attacks resulted in temporary service disruptions, with damaged runways hindering normal operations.

While the Syrian transportation ministry reported the restoration of Aleppo airport’s functionality after repairs, the recent strike has reignited concerns. State TV revealed that a thorough damage assessment is currently underway to determine the extent of the overnight attack.

The situation underscores the ongoing tensions in the region, prompting heightened scrutiny and international attention.
