Mumbai, Nov 20 – According to a report by CARS24, Indians sold cars amounting to Rs 1,760 crore during the festive season, with 87% of buyers choosing petrol-powered cars. Ganesh Chaturthi saw a two-fold increase in car purchases in Mumbai and Pune, with the WagonR and Honda City leading the way. Ahmedabad and Delhi also experienced a 67% rise in car sales during Navratri, especially for models like the Grand I10 and Baleno. Hatchbacks claimed an impressive 65% of the total sales share. CARS24 recorded an 88% increase in the sale of used cars compared to last year, with an average daily disbursement of Rs 4.7 crore worth of loans on used cars during this festive season.
