Khammam, Nov 9: – Income Tax (IT) officials launched searches at the residence and offices of former MP and Congress candidate Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy in Paleru, starting in the early hours of Thursday. The raids are part of a broader operation encompassing multiple locations in Khammam, Narayanapuram, and Hyderabad.

The search operation began at Ponguleti’s residence and offices in Khammam at 4:30 AM, with IT officials arriving in eight vehicles. Ponguleti, who is set to file his nomination today, had his family members gathered at the Khammam residence. The IT officials confiscated cell phones from Ponguleti’s family members and followers during the early morning raid.

In addition to the searches in Khammam, IT officials are conducting operations at Ponguleti’s residence in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.

The reasons behind the Income Tax raids on Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy are yet to be officially disclosed.
