Hyderabad, Nov 6: A gunman assigned to Telangana Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy apparently took his own life by shooting himself with his service weapon at a private hotel in Srinagar Colony on Sunday, police said.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Fazil Arsi. Prior to committing suicide, he had a conversation with his daughter.
Upon learning of the incident, Sabitha Indra Reddy and West Zone DCP D Joel Davis visited the scene to enquire about the situation.
The body has been transported to Osmania Hospital for post-mortem.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is currently in progress, the police added.
