Bulandshahr (UP), Dec 7 – Two criminals were arrested in an encounter with the police from Aurangabad area of Bulandshahr district in Uttar Pradesh, a senior police officer said on Thursday.


Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) the Aurangabad police had an encounter with two persons moving suspiciously on a motorcycle late on Wednesday night.


“When challenged by the police the criminals attempted to escape and opened fire on the team,” he said.
He said both the criminals sustained bullet injuries in retaliatory firing by the police and were arrested.
“The arrested accused have been identified as Satyendra alias Lala and Binnami. They have been admitted to the district hospital,” they said.


The SSP said illicit firearms along with ammunition were recovered from the possession of the arrested accused.
“They carried out a loot on November 30 in which a case was lodged at Aurangabad police station,” he said.
