Pune, Oct 25 – Symbiosis International (Deemed University) has welcomed Dr. Ramakrishnan Raman as its new Vice Chancellor. Dr. Raman, with a comprehensive educational background including a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering, an MBA in Systems and Marketing, and a doctoral degree in Management from Pune University, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the institution.
With a career spanning over two decades, Dr. Raman has demonstrated his versatility in corporate, academic, and research domains. His association with Symbiosis spans over a decade, where he has served in various capacities, including Professor & Director at Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology, Professor & Director at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management – Pune, and roles such as Dean – Faculty of Management and Director – Strategy & Development.
Dr. Raman’s contributions extend beyond national borders, as he has played a pivotal role in establishing international collaborations with universities in Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. His research expertise in Information Systems, IT Strategy, Entrepreneurship, AI, and Big Data has gained recognition in international academia.
As the newly appointed Vice Chancellor, Dr. Ramakrishnan Raman is poised to lead Symbiosis International (Deemed University) to new heights, leveraging his profound expertise and global perspective to enhance the academic experience and drive innovation in higher education.
