Delhi Couple’s Sweet Gesture on Baby’s First Flight Wins Hearts

A couple from Delhi, traveling to Bengaluru with their baby boy, prepared small gift bags for fellow passengers. These goodie bags contained chocolates, earplugs, and a heartfelt note.

The father shared on Reddit that it was his son’s first flight, and he wasn’t sure how the baby would behave.
“My baby took his first flight, and I wasn’t sure how he would react. So we made small comfort packets for the people sitting near us. It included chocolates and earplugs. What do you think?” he wrote.

A Cute Note from Baby Jeremiah

The note attached to the goodie bags read:
“Hello, kind stranger! My name is Jeremiah, and today is my first-ever flight! Since I’m only 6 months old, I might get a little cranky. My ears might pop, my tummy might feel funny, and I may express my feelings loudly (I’m told that’s called crying). As a small sorry for any in-flight drama, please enjoy these earplugs and chocolates to make your trip to Bangalore sweeter. Thank you for your patience—I promise to work on my travel manners next time! With love (and maybe a few wails), Jeremiah.”

Mixed Reactions from Passengers

While some passengers appreciated the thoughtful gesture, others seemed uninterested. The father mentioned that:

  • Some people ignored the note or left the packets untouched.
  • One passenger sitting next to them was annoyed as soon as he saw the baby.
  • The flight crew loved the idea and even offered the family small Jim Jam biscuits and took pictures with them.
  • The pilot also joined in, giving them a card with an encouraging message about “always flying high.”

Reactions on Reddit

People had mixed opinions about the gesture:
💖 “That’s so thoughtful and sweet! You are a kind person, sending love to your baby!” said one user.
😊 “If I got such a note, I’d try my best to make the baby smile instead of getting annoyed,” commented another.
🤔 On the other hand, some felt it wasn’t necessary. “Babies cry, that’s normal. People should be understanding. No need to apologize. It’s a public space, not a private jet,” one user pointed out.

Despite the different opinions, the couple’s effort to make the flight pleasant for others was widely praised.
