Nagpur, Dec 16 – A grand rally of the Congress party will be organised in city on December 28 to mark the foundation day of the party, said All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary K C Venugopal on Friday.
While interacting with journalists here after the party meeting, he further said that support for the Congress party among people is increasing across the country as the results of recent assembly elections in four states showed a significant increase in percentage of votes for the party.
Venugopal alleged that the BJP government was working in a dictatorial manner and questioned how the country will be safe when the parliament of the country is not safe.
Talking about attack on parliament, the Congress leader said that parliament, which is the temple of democracy, was attacked twice during the BJP rule, he noted.
When the members of Opposition parties including the Congress questioned the government about security breach at parliament, only 14 of them who asked the questions were suspended but no action was taken against BJP MPs who had given passes to these attackers, added Venugopal.
