Shimla, Oct 18: State Congress President and MP Pratibha Singh has assured the people of the Pangi tribal area that she will talk to the state government to restore the subsidy on firewood and fuel wood for all the people on Tuesday.
She has stressed the need to increase the incentive amount and tribal allowance given to officers and employees in tribal areas to meet the shortage. She has said that it has often been seen that due to difficult geographical conditions, officers and employees transferred to the tribal areas of the state try to avoid serving their services, hence, along with incentives, they are given special tribal allowance for serving in these areas. There is a great need to increase.
Pratibha Singh said here today that she has returned after a two-day visit to Kilar of Bharmour assembly constituency of Pangi Valley, the tribal area of her parliamentary constituency Mandi. She said that the issue of soon paving and improving the Udaipur to Kilar road which is with the Border Roads Organization will also be taken up with the higher officials of the Border Roads Organisation. She said that the people coming here due to snowfall have to face a lot of inconvenience due to the breakdown of road connectivity, hence on the demand of the people here, the issue of proposed tunnel construction in Chahani Pass will also be taken up with the Central Government, so that this The area should remain connected by road throughout the year.
Pratibha Singh said that the communication network in Pangi Valley is also very weak. She said that soon she will also ask the officials of Bharati Telecom and BSNL to hold a meeting to explore the possibilities of strengthening the network in the entire Pangi valley including Lahaul, Spiti, and Kinnaur, and expanding it further. She said that the telecommunication network has now become an important part of the common man’s life, hence it is very important to strengthen its network. There is a great need to take all steps for this.
Pratibha Singh said that soon she will meet Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and urge him to resolve the problems of the people in the tribal areas through mutual discussion.
